Leading global bank, Paris

§

Reid Brewin architects continues the collaboration with a leading world bank with his project in Paris. The brief for this project was to oversee the renovation of the 1200 m² office spaces for a leading global bank, which is in the process of multiple phased projects, throughout the 9-storey existing building located in central Paris.

RBA was contracted by lead architect, Broadway Malyan, as the local architects responsible for producing the RIBA stage 4 technical design, including monitoring and inspection of site progress through to practical completion. Construction commenced in August 2022 and ended in the end of December 2022.

The space itself has been designed to accommodate a variety of financial trading departments, lending itself to the current flexible working culture. Space planning
arrangements were made to encourage open-plan collaboration workspaces with ancillary touchdown, meeting and conference rooms, executive offices and break areas.

The design phase took place from February to June 2022, with a procurement period between July and August 2022, enabling the contractor to mobilise for an end of August 2022 start onsite.

Broadway Malyan’s conceptual design pulled inspiration from the surrounding Parisian architectural context, influencing the internal geometry of the project, and inspiring the palette of materials used. Particular attention was paid to the quality of the spaces with attention to the acoustics, in order to propose an environment that would be both efficient and comfortable for its occupants.
