Office refurbishment at La Défense financial district completed

This month saw the completion and handover of an office refurbishment in a tower at La Défense, near Paris. Reid Brewin Architects were appointed by ISG, the general contractor, specialist in office fit-outs, to design and deliver the project for an American client, who wished to bring together three of its subsidiary companies into the same office space, approx. 2300m². Initial discussions began in January 2013, the work was finished and the companies moved in by July 2013.

The client wanted a coherent design solution for the whole space whilst incorporating the individual needs of all three subsidiaries. With flexible working solutions, collaborative areas to encourage more spontaneous interaction, ‘break-out’ spaces and ‘retreats’, teams or individuals could move with their laptops to other areas of the office floor, depending on the type of working environment required for specific tasks and discussions.
